New Permanent Promotion: SB Beauty Bite !

Like the title suggests, this is a PERMANENT promotion, meaning everyday there will be a certain product on sale. Always. Only catch is only ONE item will be chosen to be the "SB Beauty Bite" for a period of 72 hours (3 days). Does this mean we won't be having any other sales in the future? Of course not. This is just one of our ideas to keep the SosikoBoutique.com environment fun and exciting the whole year.

You may be wondering why it's only one product and not just the entire store or entire brand line? If that was the case, it'd be called the Beauty Meal and not a Beauty Bite, which in my honest opinion doesn't flow as smoothly. :) If that didn't answer your question let me explain it more thoroughly.....Ok, so in foodie terms (yes, I know, it's the wrong industry, but just bear with me) a "bite" is a small taste of food eaten quickly or in a hurry and according to the Macmillan Dictionary, a "bite" is also "an exciting quality." So putting two and two together while making it fit THIS industry, my "Beauty Bite" will be one product ("the small taste") that will go on sale for a period of only 72 hours ("eaten quickly") to make SosikoBoutique.com "exciting" the entire year. :)

A few things you'll need to know:

1. Starting tomorrow, on April 5 at 12 am CST, we'll be placing ONE product from our store on sale for a period of  72 HOURS ONLY. Once the 3 days are up, a new product will be placed on sale for another 72 hours and so on...

2. The product we will place on sale will be unknown ahead of time (meaning we will not advertise it beforehand) and will only be known once it's featured on SosikoBoutique.com. 

3. The Beauty Bite will be located on the LEFT-HAND side of the site immediately below "Shop By Price" and above "Information."

3. The discount will range anywhere from 10%-40% off depending on the product.

4. There will be a counter that will count down the days/hours/minutes/seconds until the sale ends and another begins. The countdown is automatic and the sale will start at 12 mn April 5th. 

5. Each sale is only good until supplies last. Therefore if the inventory runs out before the sale is scheduled to end, we'll immediately end the sale and start the next one. So if you happen to like the Beauty Bite product, get it before it runs out or before the sale ends. :)

6. We'll be having bigger site-wide/brand-only sales in the future (keep a watch out for those), so when those happen and the item in the Beauty Bite happens to also fall in the category for the bigger sale, the discounts will be combined (ex. 10% off Beauty Bite Sale + 25% off Site-wide sale = 35% off Beauty Bite product). But again, this will only happen if the two happen to coincide with one another. It may or may not happen.

Hey Lovelies!

I'd just like to quickly announce that SosikoBoutique.com will be having a minor price change for all of our Lioele Products. This change is by request directly from the Lioele Overseas Sales team in Korea. Because we are an authorized dealer of Lioele Cosmetics in the US, it is mandatory that we follow this change.

Don't worry though! Because we are an authorized dealer, the change is not by much. Depending on the product, the price will either increase or decrease. They are hoping that this price change will help differentiate their brand from other brands in the market by providing high quality products at an affordable price.

This price change will take effect April 1 at 12:00 midnight....and no, this is not a prank in case you were wondering.

Let's Give Love to Japan !

Let's Give Love to Japan !

As you all may know, Japan was hit by a devastating earthquake and tsunami a little over 2 weeks ago and to make matters worse, they are now facing a nuclear crisis. The earthquake triggered fires, which then caused severe damage to buildings and left 5 million without electricity and 1 million without water. Thousands of houses were either leveled or damaged and hundreds of thousands were left homeless, wounded, and grieving for lost relatives. On top of that, those in the surrounding areas of the Fukushima nuclear power plant are now living in constant fear of a potential nuclear meltdown and the leaking of radioactive material. 

In the first 24 hours of the initial disaster, the Japanese Red Cross dispatched 62 medical response teams- made up of about 400 doctors, nurses, and support staff- that provided assistance in the affected areas through mobile medical clinics and also helped asses the damage and needs of the communities affected. To this day, they are continuing to offer their assistance and support to those who need it, whether it's medical care or simply providing water and warm blankets. With the constant help of the Red Cross, Japan is slowly rebuilding itself after this cataclysmic chain of events, but they cannot do it alone. 

This is why for an entire month (March 28-April 28) in addition to the 5% going to one of our three chosen charities, SosikoBoutique.com will donate 10% of ALL the proceeds made from each product sold to the Red Cross in order to help out with the Japan relief effort and those affected throughout the Pacific.  If you want to donate extra to the Red Cross, please visit their website at www.redcross.org  or for those of you living in the US, you can simply text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

So, let's all show our LOVE and SUPPORT for those affected and help MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Launching in T minus 6 hours !

After 3.5 months of careful planning and implementation, SosikoBoutique.com will finally open for business! I started SosikoBoutique.com based on three main ideas:

1. To link the East and the West in terms of sharing beauty secrets the world over. There are so many beauty secrets around the globe that are only known in each country, rendering them unknown to the rest of world. I took it upon myself to help open the beauty and makeup industry to a plethora of choices, which are otherwise unavailable to the general public mainly due to location and lack of information.

2. To help instill a sense of female empowerment to women and girls across the world. I would like to promote the age of classy, poised, and confident women as opposed to the fowl-mouthed, tasteless, and diffident women grazing the covers of the local tabloids. The women of today are constantly influencing the women of tomorrow, therefore we need to take it upon ourselves to be the difference and help make a positive impact on future generations of women around the world. In line with this, I look at makeup as an art form made to help enhance one's features to instill confidence and not to mask one's imperfections and hide behind insecurities.

3. To raise awareness of the problems women face internationally and to help by donating to three charities around the world that promote female empowerment and well-being. All three of the chosen charities (V-Day, Girl's Inc., and WeDpro, Inc.) exist for the betterment of women/girls lives everywhere.
